The Life of the Buddha according to the Pali Canon consists of direct translations from the Pali Canon (Tipitaka) collected by the Theravada monk Bhikku Nanamoli. Many of these translations have been published in Buddhist periodicals during 1954-56 in Sri Lanka. Pali is an language with only one function, to preserve the Buddha´s teachings. It is quite similar to Sanskrit and share the feature that it is not spoken or used for anything else. The Pali Canon are about 1.600 years old, but we can be pretty confident that the scriptures have remained unaltered since then. The Life of the Buddha according to the Pali Canon outlines the biography of the Buddha directly from the verses of the Pali Canon.

This website is bogus. If you try to do a “free download” of a religious book, you are swamped with ads for services you don’t want. Bogus.
